The Sigma Beta Club was founded in 1950 by the Honorable Bro. Dr. Parlette L. Moore, the 20th International President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. It serves as the official youth auxiliary of the Fraternity.

Academic support, leadership, and service.
Sigma Beta Club members receive academic assistance and leadership development at the elementary, middle, and high school levels through one-on-one and group approaches.
Clubs develop partnerships with local institutions — including colleges, universities, community colleges, and trade schools — to expose young men to higher education and career pathways early.
Members are engaged in a variety of community service projects that further aid in positive character building. These experiences shape confident, compassionate young leaders who carry the values of brotherhood, scholarship, and service into every area of life.
